It dominated the northern hemisphere for 35-million-years . . . until glaciers.

Twenty miles from my house, there are fossils of the lost tree, and in 1941 Shigeru Miki named the fossils Metasequoia. They’re in so many everywheres: 60-million-year-old dried up remembered-lives.
